About the role#
Benesch is hiring a civil engineering intern to support roadway and civil construction projects. You will work directly on infrastructure sites to assist with inspection and documentation. This is a paid, full-time internship with a rolling application window.
What you'll do#
- Observe construction activities to ensure project procedures are followed.
- Document progress by maintaining a field book and preparing Inspector Daily Reports.
- Perform measurements of construction work and calculate quantities for pay items.
- Review project plans, specifications, and submittals.
- Assist project managers with design tasks and professional support.
- Maintain assigned company vehicles and equipment.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a BS program for Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field.
- Prior experience working on field projects.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A valid driver's license and a good driving record.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Location & details#
- This role is based in Milwaukee, WI, or Neenah, WI.
- The position is on-site and field-based, requiring travel to various project locations.
