About the role#
This is a hands-on internship focused on construction engineering. You will work on various infrastructure projects, performing daily inspections and handling project documentation. This role is field-based, and you will travel to different project sites to support our civil construction team.
What you'll do#
- Perform construction observation of activities and follow project procedures.
- Review and confirm the adequacy of project budgets and schedules with your supervisor.
- Maintain a field book and prepare Inspector’s Daily Reports.
- Measure construction work and calculate quantities for pay items.
- Review plans, specifications, and submittals for your assigned work.
- Provide professional assistance to project managers and report on work progress or technical issues.
- Maintain company vehicles and equipment assigned to your project.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a BS in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related curriculum.
- A valid driver's license and a good driving record.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Previous experience with field projects is preferred.
- Familiarity with ArcGIS, MicroStation, Geopak, or AutoCAD is helpful.
