About the role#
Kennedy Jenks is seeking an intern for our 2027 Kickstart Internship Program in Walnut Creek. You will join our team to support projects focused on water resources, water quality, and wastewater treatment. This role provides an opportunity to work on projects that address planning and implementation for our water environment and industrial sector clients.
What you'll do#
- Support project teams with engineering solutions for water and wastewater treatment.
- Perform technical report preparation and engineering calculations.
- Develop design plans and specifications for ongoing projects.
- Conduct field work and visit project sites.
- Participate in and contribute to client meetings.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program for Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering.
- Completion of at least junior year standing in an accredited engineering program.
- An interest in engineering, environmental consulting, and sustainability.
Location & details#
- This position is based in Walnut Creek, California.
- We operate on a hybrid work model, with a requirement to be in the office at least two days per week.
- This is a paid, full-time internship with a rolling start date.
