About the role#
Kennedy Jenks is seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 term in San Francisco. You will join our project teams to support solutions for water resources, water quality, and wastewater treatment. This role offers exposure to projects across the United States, providing you with hands-on experience in the civil engineering sector.
What you'll do#
- Perform engineering calculations and prepare technical reports.
- Assist in the development of design plans and specifications.
- Document pre-construction conditions.
- Conduct field work and visit project sites.
- Attend and contribute to client meetings.
- Participate in mentorship and networking opportunities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program for Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering.
- Completion of at least junior standing in an accredited engineering program.
- Working knowledge of engineering principles and calculations.
Location & details#
- Location: San Francisco, California.
- Modality: Hybrid, with a minimum of two days per week in the office.
- Compensation: $21 to $26 per hour.
- Benefits: Includes medical coverage or a $150 monthly stipend, $15 monthly cell phone allowance, 401(k) participation, and accrued paid sick time.
