About the role#
Emery Sapp & Sons, Inc. is seeking a Traveling Field Labor Intern for the Summer 2027 season. This position offers hands-on experience in heavy civil construction. You will work alongside project managers, engineers, and field staff to support project execution and learn the daily operations of a construction site.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with project teams to assist in the planning, execution, and management of construction projects.
- Assist in the preparation of project documentation, including reports, plans, budgets, and schedules.
- Spend time on construction sites to observe and participate in field activities.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and field staff to ensure project goals are met.
- Gain exposure to heavy equipment operations under the guidance of experienced operators.
- Communicate with crew members and subcontractors to track schedules and project deadlines.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a relevant degree program or technical school, such as Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
- Strong academic performance.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to adapt to the requirements of a construction site.
- Must be able to travel.
