About the role#
Emery Sapp & Sons, Inc. is seeking a Survey Intern to join our team in Springdale, Arkansas. This role offers the chance to work alongside an experienced Surveying Technician to gain hands-on field experience. You will be introduced to construction flow, plan reading, and surveying techniques. This is a full-time position that involves working outdoors in various weather conditions and terrains.
What you'll do#
- Set up, adjust, and operate surveying instruments.
- Calibrate sites for GPS rovers and GPS Machine Control.
- Perform construction layout for structures and pavement.
- Work from engineering plans to establish lines and grades.
- Provide topographic and cross-section surveys.
What you'll need#
- At least two years of construction industry experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to operate field equipment including Total Stations, GPS Rovers, and Auto Levels.
- Pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering.
