About the role#
KEITH is hiring a Transportation Civil Engineering Intern for the Summer of 2027. You will work from our Pompano Beach office to support our planning, design, and construction projects for private and public sector clients. This is a full-time, paid internship.
What you'll do#
- Learn fundamental engineering processes, construction methods, and permitting workflows.
- Gain experience in CAD design and drafting using MicroStation, ORD, and AutoCAD.
- Assist with transportation and roadway design, traffic analysis, and utility design.
- Perform engineering calculations, data research, and analysis.
- Participate and contribute to design and production meetings.
- Research, evaluate, and prepare material for permit applications.
- Coordinate project activities with internal and external disciplines.
- Conduct site visits.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelors degree program for Civil Engineering.
- A proactive, enthusiastic approach with a drive to learn.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues at all levels.
