About the role#
GEI Consultants is looking for interns to join our New York City office for Summer 2026. This role provides an opportunity to gain experience in geotechnical, civil, structural, or waterfront engineering. You will work on projects across the United States while learning from our team of technical experts.
What you'll do#
- Assist with engineering and scientific analyses and design.
- Observe fieldwork and construction activities.
- Perform computations, manage data, and prepare spreadsheets.
- Prepare and edit drawings using AutoCAD.
- Assist with the preparation of proposals, reports, and field documentation.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a B.S. or M.S. in Civil, Geotechnical, or Structural Engineering.
- Completion of at least 2 years in a technical degree program.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- A valid driver's license.
- Ability to work in the field, including active construction sites and inclement weather.
- Willingness to travel on assignment when necessary.

- Schedule: Full-time.
- Compensation: $22.00 to $25.00 per hour.
