About the role#
GEI Consultants is hiring an Engineering Intern for the summer of 2027. This is a full-time, paid position based on-site at our office in Middleton, Wisconsin. You will work alongside engineers and scientists on diverse environmental and engineering projects.
What you'll do#
- Perform grading surveys and project layouts.
- Create AutoCAD drawings and calculate material takeoffs.
- Assist with design calculations, project reports, and bidding documents.
- Conduct site field services, including soil sampling and sample transport.
- Complete field reports and testing forms.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least three years of a BS program in civil, geotechnical, or environmental engineering.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong writing and organizational skills.
- A valid driver's license and a willingness to travel.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability and willingness to perform field tasks and oversight.
- Previous experience with construction oversight or documentation is preferred.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and survey work is preferred.
