About the role#
KEITH is hiring a Civil Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 term. You will work on-site in our West Palm Beach, Florida office. This is a full-time, paid internship designed to provide hands-on experience with fundamental engineering processes, construction methods, and permitting for both private and public-sector projects.
What you'll do#
- Perform CAD design and drafting tasks.
- Assist with site design, stormwater management, grading, drainage, erosion control, water treatment, traffic analysis, and utility design.
- Conduct engineering calculations and data research.
- Prepare contract documents using AutoCAD.
- Research, compile, and prepare materials for permit applications.
- Coordinate project activities with other disciplines.
- Participate in design and production meetings.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelors degree program for Civil Engineering.
- A pro-active, enthusiastic, and self-starting attitude.
- A strong drive to learn new skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with clients and colleagues at all levels.
