The TAP program in New Bedford provides therapeutic after-school services for children ages 6 to 12 who have complex emotional and behavioral needs. As a Clinical Intern, you will work within a team-based environment to support children and families, utilizing strength-based and evidence-based practices to help them succeed in their home, school, and community settings. Interns receive supervision from licensed staff to support clinical growth and degree requirements.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Master’s degree program or higher in a mental health field, working toward licensure as an LCSW, LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT.
- A clinical interest in working with children and adolescents.
- Familiarity with trauma-informed models of treatment is preferred.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Successful completion of background and driving record checks.
