Flexible Support Services Master's Level Internship

About the role#

The Flexible Support Services program provides support to youth and families, focusing on empowering clients through psychoeducation, advocacy, and strengthening family dynamics. Interns work with children and young adults up to age 22 who have mental health diagnoses, assisting them in improving functioning within their home and community to prevent hospitalizations. You will receive supervision from licensed staff to support your clinical growth and degree requirements.

What you'll do#

• Learn and apply clinical interventions to support youth and families.
• Explore clinical knowledge through evidence-based and culturally competent modalities.
• Strengthen documentation skills and gain experience with electronic medical records.
• Participate as an integral member of a multidisciplinary team.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a Master’s degree program or higher in social work or counseling.
• A clinical interest in working with children and adolescents.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Familiarity with trauma-informed models of treatment is preferred.
• Ability to pass background and driving record checks.
