About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to support youth and families within the Community Based Services division. You will work in an after-school environment, contributing to a team that provides strength-based, individualized care. This role offers supervision from licensed staff to support your clinical growth and degree completion.
What you'll do#
- Learn to use clinical interventions to support youth in social and educational settings.
- Apply clinical knowledge through evidence-based and culturally competent modalities.
- Develop documentation skills using electronic medical records.
- Collaborate as an integral member of a multidisciplinary team supporting youth and families.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program or higher in mental health, social work, or a human service field.
- A strong interest in working with children and adolescents.
- Familiarity with trauma-informed treatment models is preferred.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Please note that background and driving record checks are required for this position.
