BA Level Intern

About the role#

This internship provides an opportunity to support the Community Based Services division, which assists children and families with significant behavioral, emotional, and mental health needs. Interns work within an after-school environment, utilizing a strength-based and team-oriented approach to provide individualized, culturally competent care.

What you'll do#

• Learn to implement clinical interventions to support youth in social and educational settings.
• Explore clinical knowledge through the use of evidence-based and culturally competent modalities.
• Strengthen documentation skills and gain experience with electronic medical records.
• Serve as an integral member of a multidisciplinary team supporting youth and families.
• Receive supervision from licensed and experienced staff to support clinical growth and degree requirements.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program or higher in mental health, social work, or a human service field.
• A demonstrated interest in working with children and adolescents.
• Familiarity with trauma-informed models of treatment is preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to pass background and driving record checks.
