Metropolitan Family Services is seeking a part-time Behavioral Health Intern for the Fall 2026 term at the Southeast Center. This position focuses on supporting community mental health initiatives and working with underserved clients across the lifespan.
What you'll do#
- Assist with case management tasks, including intake, assessment, treatment planning, and care coordination.
- Collaborate with team members to support client needs.
- Locate and connect clients with necessary resources.
- Co-facilitate treatment groups alongside staff members.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Master's-level psychology, social work, or counseling degree program.
- A strong interest in community mental health.
- Ability to pass all required screening and criminal background checks.
- A valid driver's license, access to a personal vehicle, and proof of insurance.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as sitting or standing for sustained periods, using office equipment, and occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds.
