    About the role#

    Metropolitan Family Services is hiring a part-time Mental Health Practitioner Intern to join the team in Merrionette Park. This is a paid internship position that requires on-site work.

    What you'll do#

    • Perform in-depth assessments, clinical formulations, and develop strengths-based treatment plans.
    • Provide individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, and case management.
    • Conduct open access sessions as assigned.
    • Use evidence-based treatment interventions.
    • Coordinate care with a multidisciplinary team of professionals.
    • Identify community conditions that affect clients and connect them to resources or financial assistance.
    • Maintain accurate client records and complete required reporting.
    • Work effectively with a diverse staff and service population.

    What you'll need#

    • Enrollment in a master's degree program for Social Work or Counseling at an accredited university.
    • A personal vehicle.
    • Availability to work evenings and weekends as assigned.
    • Ability to work well with diverse groups and individuals.
