About the role#
Justice Resource Institute is seeking a BA Level Intern to support youth and families within our Community Based Services division. This internship offers the opportunity to work in an after-school environment, focusing on strength-based and needs-driven care for children with behavioral, emotional, and mental health needs. You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team to provide individualized services grounded in evidence-based practices.
What you'll do#
- Learn to apply clinical interventions to support youth in social and educational settings.
- Explore clinical knowledge through the use of evidence-based modalities.
- Strengthen documentation skills and gain experience with electronic medical records.
- Serve as an integral member of a multidisciplinary team supporting youth and their families.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program or higher in psychology, public health, nursing, human resources, sociology, or a related mental health, social work, or human service field.
- A strong interest in working with children and adolescents.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Familiarity with trauma-informed models of treatment is preferred.
- Ability to pass required background and driving record checks.
