About the role#
The Justice Resource Institute is seeking a BA Level Intern to join the Community Based Services division. This role supports children and families with significant behavioral, emotional, and mental health needs. Interns work in an after school environment using strength-based and needs-driven approaches to provide individualized care.
What you'll do#
- Learn to use clinical interventions to support youth in social and educational settings.
- Explore clinical knowledge through the use of evidence-based modalities.
- Strengthen documentation skills and gain experience using electronic medical records.
- Serve as an integral part of a multidisciplinary team supporting youth and families.
What you'll need#
- Currently working towards at least a Bachelor's degree in a mental health, social work, or human service field.
- A strong interest in working with children and adolescents.
- Familiarity with trauma-informed models of treatment is preferred.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to pass background and driving record checks.
