BA Level Intern

About the role#

This internship provides an opportunity to support the Community Based Services division at the Justice Resource Institute. Interns work within a multidisciplinary team to provide strength-based and needs-driven services to children and families dealing with behavioral, emotional, and mental health challenges. This role offers supervision from licensed staff to support clinical growth and degree completion.

What you'll do#

• Learn to apply clinical interventions to support youth in social and educational settings.
• Explore clinical knowledge through evidence-based modalities.
• Strengthen documentation skills and gain experience using electronic medical records.
• Collaborate as an integral member of a multidisciplinary team to support youth and their families.

What you'll need#

• Minimum enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in a mental health, social work, or human service field, such as Psychology, Human Resources, Public Health, Nursing, Sociology, or Political Science.
• Genuine interest in working with children and adolescents.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Familiarity with trauma-informed models of treatment is preferred.
• Ability to pass required background and driving record checks.
