About the role#
JP Cullen offers a practical internship and co-op program designed to provide real-world experience. You will work alongside project managers or superintendents on active jobsites. We provide as much responsibility as you can handle to prepare you for future professional roles.
What you'll do#
- Expedite, review, and coordinate shop drawings and submittals.
- Update contract documents to keep jobsite and office copies current.
- Organize and estimate change order work by contacting subcontractors and calculating quantities.
- Evaluate field problems and discrepancies, document issues, and produce sketches for RFI submittals.
- Update and distribute project schedules using Primavera P6.
- Create miscellaneous sketches and drawings to assist field teams.
- Prepare project closeout documents, including as-built information and warranty manuals.
- Participate in weekly jobsite meetings and produce meeting minutes.
- Monitor subcontractor work, including schedules, manpower, and quality compliance.
- Procure materials, manage delivery schedules, and track shipments.
- Prepare summaries of labor and material costs for extra work or backcharges.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architectural Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn.

- Location: Madison, Wisconsin.
- This is a paid, full-time, on-site role.
- The internship term is rolling.
