About the role#
The HITT Futures Program offers a 10-week summer internship for students interested in construction management. You will work alongside project managers and superintendents to gain hands-on experience in the general contracting industry. This program includes mentorship, professional networking, and career development courses.
What you'll do#
- Support project delivery teams with daily tasks and coordination.
- Manage project documentation, including submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
- Assist with subcontractor and supplier coordination, material tracking, and file management.
- Help prepare bid packages and evaluate subcontractor bids.
- Review construction drawings and verify site conditions.
- Coordinate trades and support safety and quality control efforts.
- Provide progress reports for internal teams and clients.
- Participate in educational classes, software training, and corporate responsibility initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in construction, engineering, business, or a related field.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week from May 24, 2027, to August 5, 2027.
- Proficiency or ability to learn software such as Microsoft Office 365, Procore, Adobe, and BlueBeam.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- A focus on client service and working well within a team.
- Previous internship or volunteer experience is helpful but not required.
