About the role#
Join our HITT Futures Program as a Commercial Construction Intern. This is a 10-week summer experience from May 24, 2027, to August 5, 2027. You will work alongside project managers and superintendents to learn the business of construction management. This is a paid, full-time position.
What you'll do#
- Support project delivery and coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Handle material tracking and file management.
- Manage document control processes such as submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
- Help prepare bid packages and evaluate subcontractor bids.
- Review construction drawings and verify site conditions.
- Coordinate trades and support safety and quality control efforts.
- Participate in professional development, networking events, and educational classes.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Civil, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, or Business Administration.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Capacity to learn software systems including Microsoft Office 365, Procore, Adobe, and BlueBeam.
