About the role#
JP Cullen offers a hands-on internship and co-op program designed to provide students with real-world experience. You will work directly with project managers or superintendents on active jobsites to gain exposure to the construction process. This is a paid, full-time position.
What you'll do#
- Expedite, review, and coordinate shop drawings and submittals.
- Incorporate revisions to contract documents and post construction change bulletins.
- Organize and estimate change order work.
- Evaluate field problems, produce sketches, and submit RFIs to resolve discrepancies.
- Update, print, and distribute project schedules using Primavera P6 or similar software.
- Produce miscellaneous sketches and drawings to assist field teams.
- Prepare project closeout documents and organize record documents.
- Participate in weekly jobsite coordination meetings and produce minutes.
- Monitor subcontractor work, schedules, manpower, and quality compliance.
- Procure materials, track shipments, and manage on-site storage.
- Prepare summaries of labor and material costs for backcharge or extra work.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Engineering, Construction Management, Architectural Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- High attention to detail.
- A willingness to learn and take on new tasks.
