About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in supply chain operations within our Cardiovascular team. You will support new product development, lifecycle management, and technical operations while working alongside experienced engineers. This role is designed to help you build a professional foundation by contributing to real-world projects and supply chain initiatives.
What you'll do#
- Assist engineers with project activities, including lab testing, data collection, and updating drawings.
- Support supply chain optimization for new and existing products in a multi-functional environment.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to identify root causes of supply chain issues and develop mitigations.
- Evaluate products and processes to find opportunities for quality improvement and cost reduction.
- Inspect and test tools and fixtures after fabrication to ensure they meet project specifications.
- Help document and execute process validation activities.
What you'll need#
- Completion of undergraduate freshman year at an accredited university.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Industrial, Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
- Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be permanently authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for visa sponsorship.
Location & details#
- Location: Irvine, California.
- Term: Summer 2027 (May to August).
- Status: Full-time (40 hours per week).
- Modality: Hybrid (2-3 days on-site), with a preference for fully on-site work.
