About the role#
This per diem Pharmacy Intern position at the Center City Inpatient facility allows students to gain technical and clinical experience. The role is designed to help you prepare for a future career as a pharmacist by integrating pharmaceutical knowledge into a hospital setting.
What you'll do#
- Procure, store, and assist in the dispensing of medications and pharmaceutical supplies for patient and departmental needs.
- Participate in the medication distribution system within Thomas Jefferson University Hospital (TJUH).
- Prepare parenteral products using aseptic technique.
- Ensure the provision of quality pharmacy services.
- Interact professionally with co-workers, visitors, and other staff.
What you'll need#
- Current matriculation in an accredited college of pharmacy.
- Ability to participate in the medication distribution system and prepare parenteral products using aseptic technique.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Previous experience is preferred but not required.
