About the role#
This is a per diem pharmacy internship based at the Center City inpatient facility. You will work to gain technical and clinical experience while preparing for a future career as a pharmacist. You will assist in the daily operations of the pharmacy department and contribute to the quality of patient care.
What you'll do#
- Procure, store, and help dispense medications and pharmaceutical supplies for patient and departmental needs.
- Participate in the medication distribution system within Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.
- Prepare parenteral products using aseptic technique.
- Maintain high standards for pharmacy services.
- Interact with co-workers, visitors, and hospital staff.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college of pharmacy.
- Good interpersonal skills for working with staff and visitors.
- Ability to handle medication distribution and prepare parenteral products.
- Previous pharmacy experience is helpful but not required.
