About the role#
This paid internship offers hands-on experience in manufacturing operations and continuous improvement. You will work on projects that drive business results while building your technical and professional skills. The program lasts 12 weeks and requires full-time commitment during the summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Build working relationships with operators, supervisors, and engineering teams.
- Participate in Daily Management System activities.
- Support ongoing operational and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Observe plant processes to identify improvement opportunities and operational challenges.
- Analyze issues to develop practical solutions that improve safety, quality, productivity, or efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members to evaluate and implement process improvements.
- Lead or support improvement projects from start to finish.
- Independently lead and complete a capstone project.
- Present project outcomes and business impact to plant leadership.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program in Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering.
- Graduation date between December 2027 and May 2029.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Ability to work full-time for 12 weeks during summer 2027.
- Reliable transportation to and from the work location.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Strong problem solving skills.
