    About the role#

    As an Interconnection Services and Resource Qualifications Intern, you will assist engineers in the Transmission Service Studies Group. You will work on studies that determine how new solar, wind, and battery projects connect to the transmission system. This role involves using industry-standard software to analyze data and explore modeling methods for the power grid.

    What you'll do#

    • Support engineers and consultants in managing study input and output data.
    • Assist in performing and analyzing power system studies, including power flow, stability, and short-circuit simulations.
    • Investigate methodologies for modeling renewable energy resources.
    • Contribute to the evaluation of interconnection requests and resource qualification processes.

    What you'll need#

    • Enrollment in a bachelor’s or graduate program in electrical engineering.
    • Completion of at least the first year of college.
    • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
    • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
    • Completed coursework in power systems is preferred.
