About the role#
As a Market Analysis Engineer Intern, you will work with industry experts to explore electricity market operations. You will use data, optimization, and emerging AI tools to support the power system that serves over 14 million people. This role is part of the Day-Ahead and FTR Market Applications team.
What you'll do#
- Develop, enhance, and analyze market applications that support real-world operations and decision-making.
- Support optimization and power market application initiatives.
- Gain hands-on experience with market data analytics and optimization models.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least the first year of college and current enrollment in a four-year or graduate-level program.
- Major in Electrical Engineering.
- Interest in power systems, electricity markets, optimization, or energy technology.
- Coursework or knowledge related to Unit Commitment, Economic Dispatch, or power market fundamentals.
- Strong analytical thinking, curiosity, and problem-solving skills.
- Exposure to optimization solvers such as CPLEX or Gurobi is preferred.
- Python coding experience and interest in using AI for analysis are a plus.
