About the role#
Qorvo is looking for a Characterization Engineering Intern to join our team in Greensboro, North Carolina. This is a full-time, on-site, paid internship. You will work within our High Performance Analog, Advanced Cellular, or Connectivity and Sensors business groups. Projects are determined by business needs at the time of your assignment.
What you'll do#
- Operate, debug, and vet MEMS reliability test systems, including both hardware and software components.
- Run, analyze, and report on experiments to improve device performance and reliability.
- Perform reliability analyses to predict device lifetime under various conditions.
- Measure products using test equipment such as DC source/measure units, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, RF signal generators, and PXI chassis and cards.
- Develop and upgrade measurement automation using Python, C++, Microsoft C#.NET, or NI Labview.
- Document test system issues, solutions, and operating procedures.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Data Science.
- A GPA of 3.4 or higher.
- Coursework in Analog or RF circuit design.
- Lab experience using test and measurement equipment.
- Knowledge of programming or scripting languages like Python, VB.NET, or C#.
- Familiarity with National Instrument PXI chassis and cards.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to draw conclusions from data and present them clearly.
- Ambition to propose ideas to improve existing issues.
- Coursework or knowledge relating to MEMS is a plus.
