About the role#
INNIO Group offers summer internships for students interested in energy technology, natural gas compression, and power generation. You will join high impact teams to work on real business priorities. This is a full-time, 10-12 week program running from late May or early June through late August.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to technical assignments in areas such as product design, mechanical development, and analysis.
- Participate in controls, remote data monitoring, and advanced or additive manufacturing.
- Support testing and validation, combustion, performance, services, technical fulfillment, and cost-out projects.
- Collaborate with project teams in an international environment.
What you'll need#
- Current status as a rising college sophomore or junior.
- Pursuit of a degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering.
- Minimum overall GPA of 3.0 / 4.0 (3.2 / 4.0 preferred).
- Foundational coursework in STEM, mechanical design, or engine-related subjects.
- Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills.
- Analytical approach to problem solving and learning agility.
- Ability to explain technical problems in clear, simple terms.
- Demonstrated leadership and team-building skills.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (sponsorship is not provided).
- Successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen.

- Location: Waukesha, Wisconsin (on-site).
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Compensation: Paid position with a potential housing stipend.
