About the role#
The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Co-op joins the Welland team to support the North America EHS department. You will help optimize the EHS program, manage data, and contribute to continuous improvement projects. This role involves collaboration between the Welland and Waukesha sites to align policies.
What you'll do#
- Perform site inspections and audits.
- Assist with data collection.
- Work with cross-functional departments to resolve EHS concerns.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and confidential EHS files and records.
- Perform periodic audits of documentation.
- Provide clerical support to the EHS department.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a program related to Environmental Health and Safety.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Interpersonal skills to manage sensitive situations with tact and integrity.
- High level of organization and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of ISO 45001 and 14001 is an asset.
- Experience in a manufacturing setting is an asset.
