About the role#
This is a part-time Pharmacy Intern position at a locally owned Shoppers Drug Mart in High River, Alberta. You will gain practical experience in a community pharmacy setting while working under an Associate-Owner. The role focuses on helping you prepare for a future career as a pharmacist through real-world training and mentorship.
What you'll do#
- Greet all customers who approach the pharmacy.
- Manage retail pharmacy operations.
- Maintain strict customer confidentiality and handle consent management.
- Ensure all privacy requirements are met.
- Remain clearly identifiable to the public while on duty.
- Learn about the expanding roles of community pharmacists.
- Develop your communication skills with patients, staff, and other health care workers.
- Build knowledge in OTC products, disease state management, drug therapy, and patient counseling.
