Mission on Campus Student Internship - Surf & Turf Region

About the role#

The Mission on Campus Student Internship in the Surf & Turf Region is a part-time opportunity focused on learning the fundamentals of college campus ministry. Interns will develop leadership skills, grow in spiritual understanding, and gain practical ministry experience while discerning a potential call to service with InterVarsity.

What you'll do#

• Participate and engage fully with the campus ministry team to cast vision and contribute to spiritual growth plans.
• Teach students to love, study, and apply Scripture to their daily lives.
• Promote the mission on campus by seeking opportunities to proclaim the Gospel and helping students develop strategic thinking regarding witness to the university.
• Model and assist students and faculty in growing in their love for people of every ethnicity and culture.
• Encourage a prayerful lifestyle among students, particularly those who do not yet follow Jesus.
• Serve as an ambassador of InterVarsity to ministry partners and churches by discussing ministry efforts and accomplishments.
• Engage with supervision and training provided by staff ministry trainers.

What you'll need#

• A follower of Jesus Christ who can annually affirm InterVarsity’s Statement of Agreement.
• A developing passion for evangelism.
• Demonstrated campus ministry leadership qualities, including initiative, self-awareness, communication skills, professionalism, and teamwork.
• Cross-cultural competence and an eagerness to learn.
• Academic background in fields such as Psychology, Communications, Political Science, History, or Human Resources is relevant to the role.
