About the role#
This internship focuses on learning the basics of college campus ministry within the Surf & Turf region. You will work with the campus ministry team to develop your leadership skills, spiritual understanding, and ministry experience. This role requires you to participate in daily spiritual disciplines and pursue involvement in a worshipping community while discerning your own call to ministry.
What you'll do#
- Engage fully with the campus ministry team to cast spiritual vision and direction.
- Teach students how to study, love, and apply Scripture to their daily lives.
- Promote the mission on campus by seeking opportunities to demonstrate the Gospel.
- Help students and faculty grow in their love for people of every culture and ethnicity.
- Serve as an ambassador for InterVarsity to churches and individual ministry partners.
- Assist with reporting and other tasks assigned by your supervisor.
What you'll need#
- You are a follower of Jesus Christ and can annually affirm InterVarsity’s Statement of Agreement.
- You show leadership qualities like initiative, self-awareness, and professionalism.
- You possess cross-cultural competence and a developing passion for evangelism.
- We welcome students from majors including Psychology, Communications, Political Science, History, and Human Resources.
Location & details#
- This position is located in Southern California.
- The role is part-time and on-site.
- This is a paid position, though compensation is funded through personal fundraising. Your salary depends on your ability to secure a donor team to cover the costs of the role.
