About the role#
This internship focuses on learning the basics of college campus ministry. You will work with the ministry team to develop your spiritual understanding, biblical knowledge, and leadership skills. This role is designed for students to discern a potential call to ministry while serving as a disciple of Jesus Christ.
What you'll do#
- Participate with the campus ministry team to cast spiritual vision and direction.
- Teach students how to study, love, and apply Scripture to their daily lives.
- Proclaim and demonstrate the Gospel of Jesus Christ on campus.
- Serve as an ambassador for InterVarsity to churches and individual ministry partners.
- Assist with reporting tasks as assigned by your supervisor.
- Engage with training and supervision provided by your ministry trainer.
What you'll need#
- You are a follower of Jesus Christ and can annually affirm the InterVarsity Statement of Agreement.
- You are currently enrolled in a four-year or community college.
- You have a developing passion for evangelism.
- You demonstrate leadership qualities such as initiative, teamwork, communication, and cultural awareness.
- Students interested in majors like History, Philosophy, Psychology, Communications, or Sociology are encouraged to apply.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site, part-time position.
- Locations include Indiana and Illinois.
- This role is paid, though compensation is funded through personal fundraising. Your salary depends on your ability to secure a donor team to cover the costs of the position.
- Hiring is on a rolling basis.
