About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of college campus ministry within the Graduate and Faculty Ministry division. The role is designed for students currently enrolled in a four-year or community college. Interns participate in spiritual development, biblical study, and ministry skill-building while discerning a potential call to long-term service. This is a paid, part-time position.
What you'll do#
- Participate and engage fully with the campus ministry team to support spiritual vision and direction.
- Contribute to the execution of team plans for spiritual growth and transformation.
- Teach students to love, study, and apply Scripture to their daily lives.
- Proclaim and demonstrate the Gospel of Jesus Christ while encouraging a prayerful lifestyle among students.
- Guide chapter segments in strategic thinking regarding witness to the university.
- Model and assist students and faculty in growing in their appreciation for diverse ethnicities and cultures.
- Engage positively with supervision and training provided by staff ministry trainers or directors.
- Serve as an ambassador of InterVarsity to ministry partners and churches.
What you'll need#
- You are a follower of Jesus Christ and can annually affirm the InterVarsity Statement of Agreement.
- You possess a developing passion for evangelism.
- You demonstrate leadership qualities including initiative, self-awareness, and cultural awareness.
- You exhibit professionalism, strong communication skills, and the ability to work well in a team.
- You are currently enrolled in a college or university program.
Location & details#
- This position is based on-site in Illinois and Indiana.
- The internship follows a rolling term.
- Compensation is funded through personal fundraising, and the final salary is dependent on the individual's ability to secure a donor team.
