About the role#
This internship focuses on learning the basics of college campus ministry. It is open to students currently enrolled in a four-year or community college. The role is part-time and based in Michigan. Compensation is funded through personal fundraising, meaning pay depends on your ability to secure a donor team to cover the costs.
What you'll do#
- Participate with the campus ministry team to cast spiritual vision and direction.
- Contribute to plans for spiritual growth and transformation on campus.
- Teach students to study, love, and apply Scripture to their lives.
- Promote the mission on campus by helping build witnessing communities that are ethnically diverse.
- Proclaim and demonstrate the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
- Model and assist students in growing in their love for people of every culture.
- Encourage a prayerful lifestyle among students.
- Engage with supervision and training from your staff ministry director.
- Serve as an ambassador to ministry partners and churches.
What you'll need#
- You are a follower of Jesus Christ.
- You can annually affirm the InterVarsity Statement of Agreement.
- You have a developing passion for evangelism.
- You demonstrate leadership qualities like initiative, self-awareness, communication, professionalism, and cross-cultural competence.
- You are eager to learn and work well within a team.
