Student Intern - WI/MN/ND/SD/Upper Peninsula MI (Undergraduate Ministry)

About the role#

This internship provides an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of college campus ministry. The role is open to students currently enrolled in a four-year or community college. Eligibility depends on academic standing: second-year students and community college students may intern at two-year or community colleges, while third-year students and above may work at four-year or community colleges. Non-InterVarsity students attending a Christian college must have third or fourth-year standing.

What you'll do#

• Participate and engage fully with the campus ministry team to cast spiritual vision and direction.
• Contribute to the accomplishment of the campus ministry team’s plans for spiritual growth and transformation.
• Teach students to love, study, and apply Scripture to their lives.
• Promote the mission on campus by seeking opportunities to proclaim the Gospel and guiding chapters in strategic witness.
• Model and assist students and faculty in growing in their love for diverse cultures and ethnicities.
• Encourage a prayerful lifestyle among students.
• Engage positively with the supervision and training provided by staff ministry trainers or directors.
• Serve as an ambassador of the organization to individual ministry partners and churches.

What you'll need#

• Be a follower of Jesus Christ and annually affirm the organization's Statement of Agreement.
• A developing passion for evangelism.
• Demonstrated leadership qualities, including initiative, self-awareness, cultural awareness, professionalism, and cross-cultural competence.
• Strong communication skills, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work well in a team.
