About the role#
This internship focuses on learning the fundamentals of college campus ministry. It is open to students currently enrolled in a four-year or community college. Specific standing requirements apply based on your current institution type. You will work to advance the purpose of InterVarsity while developing your own spiritual understanding, biblical knowledge, and ministry skills.
What you'll do#
- Participate and engage fully with the campus ministry team to cast spiritual vision and direction.
- Contribute to the accomplishment of the campus ministry team’s plans for spiritual growth and transformation.
- Teach students to love, study, and apply Scripture to their lives.
- Promote the mission on campus to advance witnessing communities that are bolder, broader, and more ethnically diverse.
- Seek opportunities to proclaim and demonstrate the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
- Learn to model and assist students and faculty in growing in their love for God's people of every ethnicity and culture.
- Engage positively with the supervision and training you receive from your staff ministry trainer or director.
- Assist with reporting and serve as an ambassador of the organization to individual ministry partners and churches.
What you'll need#
- You are a follower of Jesus Christ and can annually affirm the InterVarsity Statement of Agreement.
- You possess a developing passion for evangelism.
- You demonstrate campus ministry leadership qualities including initiative, self-awareness, cultural awareness, communication, professionalism, eagerness to learn, cross-cultural competence, teamwork, and relational maturity.
Location & details#
- This is a remote position based in the United States.
- This is a part-time, paid internship.
- Compensation is funded through personal fundraising, and the final salary is dependent on your ability to secure a donor team.
