The Anti-Trafficking Intern supports case management teams in serving survivors of human trafficking. This role focuses on helping clients navigate systems to access essential resources and services. Interns gain experience in humanitarian case management, data reporting, and cross-cultural communication.
What you'll do#
- Assess client needs and priorities to develop and implement service plans.
- Draft, edit, and distribute informational materials including flyers, fact sheets, and presentations.
- Research agencies, networks, and service providers to support partnership development.
- Guide clients to appointments with legal, healthcare, and public benefit providers.
- Conduct community mapping and outreach to identify potential clients and increase program visibility.
- Assist in maintaining quality control of case files.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or recent graduation from an undergraduate or graduate program in Psychology, Political Science, Sociology, Human Resources, Public Health, or Criminal Justice.
- Ability to work in-person at the Silver Spring office.
- Minimum commitment of 24 hours per week.
- Excellent communication and writing skills.
- Proficiency in Spanish, Arabic, or French is preferred.
- Reliable access to a personal vehicle, a valid U.S. driver’s license, and active insurance are preferred.
- Willingness to use public transportation to assist clients with orientation.
Location & details#
- Location: Silver Spring, Maryland.
- Term: Fall 2026 (September – December).
- Orientation: Attendance is required on September 7, 2026, from 9:15 AM to 3:30 PM.
- Compensation: This is an unpaid internship. Interns may be eligible for a $15/day per diem reimbursement for food and travel expenses.
