About the role#
The Media Research Center is looking for a Government Affairs Intern to join the team in Virginia. You will work on coalition relations, outreach, and event planning. This role involves building relationships with partner organizations, conducting research, and coordinating communications across the office. It is a good fit for students or recent graduates interested in gaining experience in political outreach and coalition work.
What you'll do#
- Assist with outreach to conservative coalition partners and allied organizations.
- Support the creation and distribution of the weekly newsletter.
- Help plan and organize events.
- Update and maintain contact databases and lists.
- Conduct research to support Government Affairs initiatives.
- Coordinate logistics and communications across departments.
What you'll need#
- Interest in current events and the conservative movement.
- A degree or progress toward a degree in political science, government affairs, public relations, or a related field.
- Strong time management and communication skills.
- You are organized, reliable, and self-motivated.
- Ability to work independently.

- This is an on-site internship located in Virginia.
- The program runs during the Winter 2027 term.
- This is a paid, full-time position.
