About the role#
As a Data Engineering Intern, you will work on projects that impact our logistics operations. You will gain hands-on experience by contributing to real-world data systems while working alongside our team. This is a full-time, paid internship.
What you'll do#
- Design and maintain databases, data warehouses, and scalable ETL pipelines.
- Work with stakeholders to identify data requirements and build solutions.
- Manage data validation, cleansing, and governance to ensure high quality and reliability.
- Monitor data system performance and fix inefficiencies.
- Create documentation for data models, engineering processes, and technical specifications.
- Ensure data security compliance and manage access controls.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Computer Science, Data Science, Computer Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience using Python for data transformation and analysis.
- Knowledge of SQL, ETL, and database management.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies such as Azure and AWS, along with Snowflake, Apache Airflow, Power BI, and DBT.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects.
- Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders across Canada.
