About the role#
This is a rotational internship where you will work on projects across several Human Resources teams. You will gain exposure to Employee Relations, Compliance, Recruiting, Compensation, Performance Management, and Payroll Administration. You will complete work assignments that support our current business needs while learning how HR functions interact with other areas of the company.
What you'll do#
- Apply your knowledge to complete assignments and meet deadlines.
- Collaborate with teams to solve business problems.
- Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvements.
- Share resources and information with coworkers and customers.
- Contribute to department objectives and project goals.
- Observe liability management practices, including EEO compliance and policy administration.
- Learn to create programs that boost productivity, such as handbooks, job descriptions, and performance appraisal systems.
- Study the connection between HR and Payroll regarding onboarding, terminations, and leaves of absence.
- Assist with employee benefits management and payroll processing tasks.
- Develop and implement compensation programs.
- Attend events to connect with other interns and associates.
- Provide feedback to help improve the internship program.
What you'll need#
- A High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in or completion of a Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business Administration or Human Resources.
- A GPA of 3.25 or higher is preferred.
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Basic presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
- Experience with customer relationship management software.
- The ability to learn new software applications.
