About the role#
The HR Intern provides administrative and project support to the Human Resources department at Lannon Stone Products. This seasonal, part-time position offers practical experience in a professional HR environment. You will work approximately 15 to 20 hours per week, with schedules adjusted to accommodate academic commitments. This role involves travel between company sites.
What you'll do#
- Support employee onboarding, orientation, and training initiatives.
- Plan and coordinate company-wide employee events and engagement activities.
- Organize and maintain HR filing systems to ensure accurate recordkeeping.
- Digitise personnel records to improve organization and accessibility.
- Review and improve data accuracy within Paycom.
- Support employee health, safety, and compliance initiatives.
- Prepare building permit packets for the Development Director.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, or a related field.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Expertise with Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Reliable attendance and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Must pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and occasionally crawl, climb, stand, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
