About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience within the Medicare team at ICCU. You will focus on lead generation, client engagement, and the Medicare sales process. This role is remote and operates on a rolling basis, with flexible hours ranging from 5 to 25 hours per week. You will receive a laptop, soft phone, and headset to perform your duties.
What you'll do#
- Call Medicare-eligible individuals to prequalify them and set appointments for licensed agents.
- Organize incoming leads from marketing campaigns, referrals, and outreach.
- Help licensed agents keep lead databases and calendars current.
- Work with a mentor to learn about client interaction and industry compliance.
- Assist with other administrative and outreach projects as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Master degree program.
- Strong verbal communication skills, particularly over the phone.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and lead tracking tools.
- Ability to maintain client confidentiality and act with a professional demeanor.
- Interest in learning about Medicare products, ethical sales, and compliance.
- You must be eligible for membership at ICCU to be hired.
- You may need to complete a background check and fingerprinting based on system access requirements.

- This position is fully remote.
- Compensation is performance-based, determined by outreach activity and successful engagement outcomes.
- You will be expected to follow HIPAA, CMS guidelines, and internal compliance policies.
