About the role#
As a Member Service Specialist Intern, you are a primary point of contact for members. You will help members with their financial transactions while promoting the services offered by the Credit Union. This role focuses on providing accurate, professional, and efficient service to help members meet their financial goals.
What you'll do#
- Perform a wide range of member-generated transactions through various channels and systems.
- Balance teller cash drawers, vaults, ATMs, and cash recyclers.
- Identify and develop opportunities to refer products and services to members.
- Process wire transfers and check orders.
- Create debit cards for individual and business members.
- Assist with branch cash and coin management.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding member and Credit Union information.
What you'll need#
- High School Diploma or GED.
- At least one year of customer service or relevant experience.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling transactions.
- Proficient math skills and the ability to process account transactions.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Eligibility for membership at ICCU.
- Preferred majors include Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting.
