About the role#
We are looking for Student Nurse Externs to join our medicine and surgical programs on Floor 12. This is a temporary, part-time position. You will work under the supervision of Registered Nurses and Registered Practical Nurses to provide essential support to our patients.
What you'll do#
- Provide direct personal support to patients.
- Assist up to 10 patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, toileting, and feeding.
- Document activities of daily living, such as intake and output.
- Communicate relevant patient information to the healthcare team.
- Report clinical concerns immediately to your direct supervisor.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in years 2-4 of a nursing program.
- Valid CPR certification.
- Ability to communicate clearly with members of the healthcare team.
- Understanding of technology use.
- A record of good work attendance.
Location & details#
- Location: Greater Toronto, Ontario.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Rotating shifts including days, evenings, nights, and weekends (8 or 12 hours).
- Status: Temporary part-time position ending March 31, 2027.
