About the role#
This co-op position offers exposure to hospital operations, including clinical workflows, service delivery design, and governance. You will work with diverse departments and interact with senior leaders while supporting various clinical and planning initiatives. This role requires managing multiple projects simultaneously in a busy environment.
What you'll do#
- Assist in facilitating planning sessions with clinical and non-clinical partners.
- Support the uninsured patients project by implementing new policies and communication strategies.
- Contribute to the reporting of year-end goals and the development of new objectives.
- Help with the design and operational planning for the second phase of Peel Memorial.
- Prepare briefing notes, status reports, and business cases for internal and external audiences.
- Conduct secondary research and develop presentation materials for senior leadership.
- Participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions with clinicians, managers, and decision support staff.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary institution with a co-op requirement.
- Enrollment or interest in Health Services Management, Business Administration, or related fields.
- Experience with project management and keeping partners involved to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Ability to analyze and interpret healthcare performance data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Understanding of Ontario health system structures at provincial, regional, and local levels.
- Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in conducting secondary research using academic and grey literature.

- Location: Brampton, Ontario.
- Work Modality: Hybrid, requiring regular onsite work.
- Employment Type: Full-time.
- Compensation: $17.60 to $24.60 per hour.
- Schedule: Currently includes days, weekends, and statutory holidays, subject to change based on operational needs.
