About the role#
As a Water Resources Engineering Intern, you will work on projects involving water quantity and quality. We aim to provide a personalized experience based on your specific areas of interest. This is a paid, full-time, on-site position based in Omaha, Nebraska.
What you'll do#
- Assist with plan specifications, estimates, and construction documentation.
- Update redlines and work on AutoCAD Civil 3D drawings.
- Operate electronic survey instruments like GPS and Total Station.
- Use software including AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, and ArcGIS.
- Conduct research, development, and design tasks for various projects.
- Perform data collection and observations at different project sites.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Agricultural and Biological Systems Engineering, Bioproducts and Biosystem Engineering, or a related program.
- Strong math and communication skills.
- A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel overnight.
- Ability to work outdoors for extended periods.
- Completed coursework in general surveying and AutoCAD is preferred.
