About the role#
This is a paid, full-time summer internship for 2027. You will join our team as part of our Prelaunch program, a three-month development journey designed to build a foundation for your engineering career. You will work alongside consultants, project managers, and subject matter experts on real projects.
What you'll do#
- Design engineering solutions and refine technical documentation.
- Conduct site inspections and monitor progress.
- Join project and client meetings to understand the consulting process.
- Analyze reports and technical specifications.
- Use digital tools to drive innovation and sustainable outcomes.
- Build professional connections through our Early Career Professionals Network.
What you'll need#
- Progress toward a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- Demonstrated interest in the field through internships, volunteering, or memberships.
- A methodical, pragmatic, and creative approach to problem solving.
- Strong communication skills to engage with clients and colleagues.
- A resilient, solution-oriented mindset focused on continuous growth.
- Ability to build rapport with internal and external stakeholders.
- A collaborative spirit and commitment to teamwork.
- Authorization to work in the US, as we cannot provide sponsorship for this role.
Location & details#
- Location: Arlington, Virginia.
- Work Modality: Hybrid, with a minimum of three days per week in the office.
- Compensation: $18 to $35 per hour, plus eligibility for the 401(k) retirement savings plan.
