About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for the Fall 2026 term. You will work on-site in Princeton, New Jersey, assisting engineering teams with various project tasks. This role is designed for students currently enrolled in an engineering program who want to apply their academic knowledge to real infrastructure projects.
What you'll do#
- Support engineering teams with daily tasks and project duties.
- Assist with the research, development, and design of bridge projects.
- Prepare engineering drawings and documentation under the guidance of staff engineers.
- Handle other engineering-related duties as assigned.
- Learn introductory shop drawing and submittal procedures.
What you'll need#
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Current enrollment in an accredited post-secondary engineering program (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or Environmental Engineering).
- Completion of at least two years of an engineering program is preferred.
- A basic understanding of engineering, geometric, and algebraic principles.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
- The ability to perform basic engineering calculations and organize information for project documents.
- A willingness to accept and apply direction from peers and supervisors.

- Compensation: The estimated pay range is $24.23 to $36.34 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
