About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to perform radiographic imaging procedures under the supervision of a technologist. You will gain hands-on experience in a clinical environment while developing your technical skills and supporting patient care operations.
What you'll do#
- Position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters to perform imaging procedures.
- Assist physicians during imaging and help prepare contrast media or medications within your scope of practice.
- Complete all required documentation, including regulatory, billing, and image distribution records.
- Implement radiation protection and safety standards.
- Attend to patient needs and comforts to help expedite patient flow.
- Maintain adequate supplies to ensure efficient department operations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment and good standing in a radiology technologist program.
- American Heart Association CPR certification.
- Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
- Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.
- Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
