About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in the catheterization lab. You will work under the direct supervision of a technologist to perform radiographic imaging procedures and assist providers. This position is full-time, paid, and on-site in Pittsburgh.
What you'll do#
- Assist physicians during catheterization procedures by using your knowledge of cardiovascular and peripheral vascular physiology.
- Operate and troubleshoot lab equipment in collaboration with your preceptor.
- Monitor patients for adverse reactions during procedures and respond appropriately.
- Handle documentation, including image storage and archival.
- Take on other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- High School diploma or GED.
- Current enrollment and good standing in a radiology technologist program.
- CPR certification.
- Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance, Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance, and Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting.
